Experiencing the gifts of the Holy Spirit at Castletown
Since returning after the mid-term break, the team at Castletown Pastoral Centre have been mostly delivering Confirmation retreats.
Our theme for these retreats are the ‘Fruits and Gifts of the Holy Spirit’, and there is no doubt that the young people who have visited us, are already experiencing and living out these Fruits and Gifts in their interactions with us and each other.
We have also facilitated some online Confirmation retreats sessions to schools that are unable to travel to us and the engagement and enthusiasm of the students and class teachers is wonderful to be a part of.
In addition to the Confirmation retreats, we welcomed some senior students for a 6th year retreat and they engaged fully with us and the programme.
As well as our regular retreats, we welcomed many Lasallian students to Castletown for the Awards Day and we facilitated a workshop for them, in between the judging of their projects. We congratulate all the students.
Having entered the season of Lent, on Ash Wednesday, our local bishop, Niall Coll, visited the Brothers' Community and later distributed ashes to the Confirmation group that we were working with on that day. Br Martin and Br Tommy accompanied Bishop Niall on his visit to the Centre.
As we continue our Lenten journey, may we continue to live Jesus in our hearts.
