DLS Senior School students learning and sharing the ethos

Students at De La Salle College Senior School have enjoyed many wonderful experiences of late that have helped them learn about our Lasallian ethos, but also to live it in their daily lives.

Form 4 Students Serving at Soup Kitchen OFM

As part of our DLS Chaplaincy Lenten journey, our Form 4 students dedicated their time to serving at Soup Kitchen OFM in Valletta. With compassion and generosity, they helped prepare and distribute meals to those in need, embracing the true spirit of Lent - service, sacrifice, and love.

This experience was not just about giving food but also about sharing kindness, respect, and hope. A big thank you to Soup Kitchen OFM for the opportunity and to our students for their willingness to make a difference!

Lent 2025

This Lent during the Jubilee of Hope 2025, the DLS Chaplaincy invites our Senior School students to experience faith through all their senses — seeing, hearing, touching, tasting, and smelling — on a journey of reflection, renewal, and spiritual growth through:

Lenten Talks – Inspiring reflections.

Penitential Acts – A time for reconciliation.

Outdoor Prayer Spaces – Engage with faith in nature through all the senses.

A heartfelt thank you to our educators, auxiliary staff, Maypole, and Project Green for their support in making this journey special.

Form 1 Students Serving with Love

As part of Lent during the Jubilee of Hope 2025, the DLS Chaplaincy led Form 1 students from De La Salle College in reaching out to assist the clergy at Dar tal-Kleru, spreading hope through service and kindness.

A big thank you to our students and educators for making this experience possible!

Careers Day

Careers Day was held on Thursday 13th March where students had the opportunity to meet with different professionals with the aim to understand more where there future goals in life should be. Some students also had the opportunity to showcase their talents through exhibiting their Art in the library and in cooking and serving food for the visitors.

Form 4 Live-In at La Salle Retreat Centre

Earlier this January, our Form 4 students took part in a memorable live-in at La Salle Retreat Centre, Mellieħa, centered around the theme “Valued”. It was a special time for them to reflect on their self-worth, appreciate the people around them, and recognise the unique value they bring to the world.

Through group discussions, activities, and quiet moments of reflection, they deepened their understanding of what it truly means to be valued and to value others. A heartfelt thank you to all the students and educators who made this experience so enriching!

Exciting Update from our Robotics Club

This week, as part of our ongoing Erasmus project 'Transition from STEM to Robotics', our students took on the challenge and started assembling Pikabot Robots! While it is a tricky task, the sense of accomplishment when they built their very own robotic cars will be absolutely rewarding.

History

The Form 4 History class visited the Notarial Archives Foundation where they got to see the process to preserve the 600-year-old collection of notarial deeds of the Notarial Registers Archive (NRA) that documents the history of Malta. From the Kantilena to the granting of the George Cross, students got to understand just how important the collection is for our country's history.

Form 5 Live-In at La Salle Retreat Centre

In January, our Form 5 students gathered at the La Salle Retreat Centre in Mellieħa for their final live-in experience — a time of reflection, growth, and bonding. Under the theme “What’s Next? … Looking Ahead”, they explored their hopes, dreams, and the exciting journey that lies just beyond school.

Through discussions, activities, and moments of quiet reflection, they embraced the challenges and opportunities of the future with open hearts and minds. A big thank you to all the educators, facilitators, and students who made this experience so meaningful!

Caritas

As an aim to raise awareness on Community Well-Being and Development students have been having discussions held by Caritas Malta instead of certain lessons to become aware of the world around as.

ICT labs

We are so happy to share that our ICT labs in the senior school have officially come together after a two-year renovation project. A special shoutout to Mr. Peter Magro, our talented art teacher, for his beautiful murals that bring the space to life. The speech bubbles in the mural are inspired by the teachings of our founder, St. John Baptist de La Salle, reminding us of the importance of education, faith and community. Our students are buzzing with enthusiasm for their ICT lessons in this fresh, vibrant environment.

We would also like to thank the college administration for making this project possible and creating an environment where students and staff can thrive.
