Community, learning and service at Ardscoil Raheny

The Lasallian Leavening Fund project at Ardscoil La Salle Raheny continues to thrive as we strengthen our connections with the local community.

We are proud to be linked with St. Monica’s Senior Circle and the Grange Woodbine Senior Club, fostering intergenerational engagement and shared learning. Since our successful Christmas event, we have attended coffee mornings, hosted and participated in gardening club talks, and developed lasting partnerships.

Looking ahead, we are excited to enhance our outdoor spaces with the support of these groups and have begun gathering interest for the launch of our digital skills workshops. These initiatives reflect our ongoing commitment to community, learning, and service.

 Ramadan and Lent Kindness challenge

To mark the beginning of Ramadan and Lent, our first-year students have embraced a Kindness Challenge, setting the stage for our upcoming Good Deeds Challenge. Running from March 10th to 14th, this initiative encourages students to perform acts of kindness, with teachers recording positive actions on VSware. Winning students will be rewarded with a pizza party, making this a meaningful way to celebrate the shared values of Ramadan and Lent while promoting kindness and understanding in our school community.

 Lasallian Prefects

We are delighted to announce the official appointment of our Lasallian Prefects, a group of dedicated students committed to enhancing the school experience for all. Being a prefect is both an honour and a responsibility, as they serve as role models, support younger students, assist staff, and contribute to the smooth running of school life.

Already, our prefects have begun working on student-led initiatives aimed at improving the school environment. Their leadership ensures that every student has a voice, feels included, and is encouraged to thrive. We look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make throughout the year.
