This term, St Peter’s Catholic School in Bournemouth, welcomed Primary pupils to join this year’s team of Lasallian Leaders within school.

All educators of St Benild, Stella Maris College (all sections) have gathered to start off the new scholastic year on Monday, September 23rd. This gathering was led by our Director of Educational Mission, Mr Stephen Cachia.

This past week all of the new year 7 cohort at St Gregory’s Catholic College have participated in their first retreat day on the theme of ‘You are all God’s chosen people’

During these Lasallian Days for Peace whose theme is "1 La Salle: our pilgrimage for peace", as the RELEM Region we want to be close to our brothers and sisters who are suffering from war all over the world, but especially in Palestine, Israel and Lebanon.

On Friday 13th, St Gerald’s De La Salle College LCA students, accompanied by their teacher Ms. Flynn, visited Castlebar Men’s Shed as part of their Community Work module.

On Tuesday, September 17th, De La Salle College Churchtown had the privilege of hosting an exceptional Open Day, inviting the local community, families, and prospective students to tour our school.

St Benildus College Dublin welcomed a new crop of first years on Thursday August 22nd and a new school year began to grow. Since opening in late August, the school has been a hive of activity. Below, we share some of the highlights so far.

The teachers and students of Beneavin De La Salle College had a busy and enjoyable return to school after the summer break, from welcoming new first year students to Leaving Cert results to Lasallian hikes.

Brother Habib, Visitor of the District Proche Orient, has shared an update on the current situation in Lebanon and how it is affecting Lasallian Schools. Let us stay close to them with prayer and solidarity.

After the summer break, the Pastoral Centre team at Castletown returned for another year and experienced a very positive vibe.

St Stephen’s BNS Waterford enjoyed a very successful start to the year on the sporting front with a number of notable performances.

On Tuesday September 24th St Peter’s Catholic School Bournemouth welcomed BBC Bitesize for a special visit. They tour schools to inspire young people about their futures. 

On Monday September 16th, staff and students from St Margaret Ward went to St Mary’s College, Oscott., which is the main seminary, where priests are trained in England and Wales.

The boys in St. Declan’s in Waterford continue to live the Lasallian principle of helping those on the peripheries by supporting a very worthwhile project in Kenya.

To celebrate the current Season of Creation, pastoral centres throughout the District have shared a message on how we can journey together in hope and action.

The return to work after summer, started early for the retreat team the La Salle Pastoral Centre Dublin  this year with our visit to Holy Child Killiney in August.

Thursday September 19th was a special day for all in the District as we celebrated the official opening of Lecale Trinity Grammar School in Downpatrick.

The thriving community spirit that exists at St Illtyd’s Catholic High School was evident once again in recent times with many activities that reflect the Lasallian principles.

De La Salle College Macroom welcomed James Moroney from Irelands Autism Charity, AsIam, visiting us in to give us a greater understanding of Autism and to help us foster empathy for our peers on the spectrum.

The strength of the Lasallian bond was illustrated over the summer when teachers (past and present) in Dublin met to celebrate their shared connection over a game of golf.
