New Year begins with assistance at inset days

The New Year began with the District assisting both St Augustine’s Catholic College and St Margaret Ward with their inset days.

Br Aidan Kilty, De La Salle Brother GB Trustee, & Joe Gilson, Director of Mission, facilitated an Ethos Day at St Augustine's Catholic College on January 4th. The District thanks Mr Aidan Dowle and all colleagues at the College for their outstanding work and inspiring commitment.

Joe Gilson, Director of Mission, and Heather Ruple, Co-ordinator of Lasallian Vocations, joined the community of St Margaret Ward on Monday January 8th. Heather and Joe led the inset day focused on the Founder’s story, reflection on personal journeys, and the Lasallian Charism as lived out in the Five Core Principles. It was a wonderful day of sharing and building Lasallian Identity and community.

The visits to St Augustine’s and St Margaret Ward followed and inset day with Lecale Trinity Grammar School on Wednesday December 20th. Joe Gilson, Director of Mission, made a very informative presentation to the teachers from the new school in Downpatrick.
